According to various websites I've run across online, Super Bowl XLIII ads are running for $3,000,000 per 30 second spot. Yes, that's right. I just said THREE MILLIONS DOLLARS. If Dr. Evil were actually an NFL Exec., instead of a fictional villain, I could undoubtedly hear his bellowing laughter as he rests his pinky upon his quivering lip and delightfully announces this flashy dollar amount.
The prices for these spots continue to climb year after year, and if you're one of the many American's (like me) who tune in for this annual football game simply for the commercials, I hope you won't be disappointed. For those prices, you better be laughing so hard that a cold beverage shoots out of one or both nostrils.
I have to hand it to our colleagues in the Advertising world, the ones who are wrapping their commercial shoots for the Super Bowl spots. They have some big shoes to fill, and I can't wait to see what we have in store February 1st.
We all know our world is in a state of constant flux - politically, environmentally, economically, socially, etc. And of course, communication, marketing and technology are often at the bleeding edge of that change. This video does a great job of connecting dots that aren't so obvious at first glance. But when you step back and take a look at the bigger picture, you realize just how quickly things accelerate.
I can almost hear the sounds of autumn at Sync Creative: The rustling of leaves as they fall from fiery orange trees, the whipping crack of a freshly opened golden beer, and the *ding *ding *ding of new e-mails flooding the inbox. Ahhhhh. Nature.
We’ve been swamped with new work this month, but don’t fret, we always make time for our favorite event: FREE BEER FRIDAY! Yes, it’s that time again. So come one, come all, and most importantly, drink some beer. We haven’t set an official date quite yet, but check back for updates.
And until then, I advise you practice talking with your mouth full, because I promise, it will surely come in handy.
